Who are we?
Latino is an import-export company founded in 1998 in Brussels dealing in fashion accessories and decoration items made from South America. Its creator, Philippe Vander Elst grew up in the Peru and lived in Colombia. He has travelled throughout Latin America where he discovered, to his travels, magnificent work of artisans from Ecuador, Peru and Colombia.
Lovers of natural materials and ancestral know hows he has built a bridge between these countries and the rest of the world with an economic activity that respects the people and the environment.
Latino imports mainly TAGUA or vegetable Ivory beads for jewellery, PANAMA HATS in straw, scarves in ALPACA wool, bags in CANA FLECHA and other decorative items.
All the tagua is dyed in Brussels in our workshop with certified Oeko Tex 100 ® dyes.
Latino is a member of the BFTF - Belgian Fair Trade Federation (www.bftf.be), created to strengthen and promote the values of reference of the fair trade.
